Celebrating Dr. Gale Yee

Gale-Yee

In 2019 Gale Yee became the first Asian American and first woman of color to serve as the President of the Society of Biblical Literature in its 139 years of history. Only three persons of color have served as presidents before her. There was a panel “Celebrating Gale Yee” at the annual meeting of the Society of Biblical Literature on November 25, 2019 at San Diego. Mary Foskett, Cheryl B. Anderson, Francisco Lozada, Jr. and Kwok Pui Lan spoke at the panel and Gale Yee responded. PANAAWTM celebrates the achievements of Gale and wants to share the papers so that more people will get to know Gale’s work and scholarship.
